Happy Thanksgiving Marion church family.  Typically, Advent starts during the last week of November, but since December has five Sundays this year, we get a little more time in Proverbs.

This week I invite you to look at friendships and family.  Seems appropriate for this Thanksgiving week.  Our starting point this week will be Proverbs 17:17.

Friends love through all kinds of weather,

and families stick together in all kinds of trouble. The Message

What kind of qualities do you look for in a friend?

Do you have a picture of a perfect friend?

Do you believe friendship is worth the pursuit?

Would you consider Jesus your friend?

Proverbs 17:17 doesn’t just tell us what to look for in a friend. It also should inspire us to observe how we behave within our own friendships.

Would you say you are a good friend?

What can the Bible teach us about friendship?

Do you have relationships that seem closer and deeper and they feel like family than a close friend?

Let’s talk about it on Sunday.
