June 14, 2026 – “Sermon on the Plain… Justice and Mercy”

by Dustin Dawe | Jun 9, 2026 | I'm Engaged, Towards Sunday

There is a lot going on at Marion this week.  We are in the midst of VBS this week and it is a good time.  If you aren’t here each evening, you should come and hang out with us.  Don’t forget, this Thursday evening we will be hanging out enjoying a...

June 7, 2026 – “Sermon on the Plain….Love Your Enemies”

by Dustin Dawe | Jun 2, 2026 | I'm Engaged, Towards Sunday

This Sunday as we continue to look at Jesus’ teaching as recorded in Luke chapter six, Jesus continues to teach about what it is like to be a disciple of Jesus.  This week we have another example on how the kingdom of heaven is so different than the kingdom of...

May 31, 2026 – “Sermon on the Plain….Be Careful”

by Dustin Dawe | May 26, 2026 | I'm Engaged, Towards Sunday

Last week as we looked at the beginning of Jesus’ sermon on the plain, and Jesus’ language on who is blessed was a bit unsettling.  This week we will look at those who Jesus has a loving warning to those who might seem to be living the blessed life.  I...

May 24, 2026 – “Sermon on the Plain…The Blessed Life”

by Dustin Dawe | May 19, 2026 | I'm Engaged, Towards Sunday

When you read Luke chapter six, verses seventeen through forty-nine, do you think this is Luke’s version of Jesus’ sermon on the mount or do you think this was a different setting with teachings that are similar to Jesus’ sermon on the mount? The Bible isn’t very...

by Dustin Dawe | May 12, 2026 | I'm Engaged, Towards Sunday

This Sunday we will be concluding our series; Experience Worship.  It is my hope that even though the series is ending, we will be able to continue to worship in new and authentic ways… not just on Sunday mornings, but every day, in all circumstances.  This...

Service is one of the simplest ways we reflect the hands and feet of Jesus. We’re thankful for Logan giving his time this summer to help others and for Kent’s faithful example of leadership and service. What a blessing it is to see multiple generations using their gifts to help build our community! ❤️🔨 ... See MoreSee Less

🎉 Wow!! What a week! 🎉While the weather may have changed our plans for Community Fun Night, it certainly didn’t dampen the fun!Although we had to forgo the bounce house and the much-anticipated dunk tank, we still enjoyed a wonderful evening together. A special thank you to Antietam Dairy for joining us and serving delicious ice cream to our community! 🍦The face painting was a hit, and it was a joy to watch children spending time outdoors, using their imaginations, making friends, and simply being kids.Throughout the week, our VBS families also raised money for Mercy Ships, an organization close to our hearts through our own Tasha Lentz, who volunteers with their ministry. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our children, families, and church community, we raised over $500 for Mercy Ships and counting! ❤️Because of their amazing efforts, Pastor Dustin had to keep his promise! 😆 The kids were thrilled to shave his head and beard, and the best part? He’s keeping the new look through Sunday… including for his driver’s license photo tomorrow! 🚗✂️As we wrap up this week, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to Lisa Tissue for the countless hours, dedication, and love she pours into making VBS such a special experience year after year. We are also incredibly thankful for our worship team, skit participants, station leaders, snack volunteers, motion leaders, group leaders, tech booth crew, and every volunteer who helped make this week possible. Most importantly, thank you to the parents who entrusted us with your children and to the kids who filled our church with laughter, energy, excitement, and generous hearts all week long.God has blessed us with an amazing church family, and we are so grateful for each and every one of you. ❤️ ...
