That is a lot of reading. Do you see a common theme?
As we read about some encounters people had with God, do you notice the presence of fire? Why do you think fire is such a common element in these encounters?
When you think of the spectrum of God’s character… love, mercy, kindness, patience, justice, righteousness, holiness, wisdom, etc. which characteristics have you been exposed to the most? Which ones do you gravitate to the most? How do you think that’s affected the way you see God and live your life?
Is God awful?
That may depend on your definition and your relationship with God.
