As we continue our journey through Lent, the theme this Sunday is… Deep in the changing sky: Called to deep wisdom.

Are you a rule follower or do rules feel too constraining for you?
God gave the Israelites the commandments as a way to avoid the things in life that will bring them pain and sorrow.
Paul says to the church at Corinth… “For God’s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and God’s weakness is stronger than human strength.”
It is hard to disagree with Paul’s words, but do we live like we believe those words. What happens when God does something unexpected? What happens when God challenges conventional wisdom?
What about Jesus, he seemed to make a ministry of defying conventional wisdom. Does everything have to make sense to you before you are obedient?
What is the balance between using our own wisdom and following in faith?
