Happy Father’s Day!

Hebrews Chapter 11.  Spend time reading about some of the “Heroes of our Faith”.  Does some on the list surprise you?  Which ones?

David, as we all know was called a “man after God’s own heart” (Acts 13:22)(1 Sam 13:14).  After all the issues that David caused?  All the pain and death his sin has caused?  All the disfunction in his family and he gets called, “a man after God’s own heart”?  Could there be a great compliment God could bestow on a human being?  David… ??

Abraham was called righteous in (Gal 3:6).

Lot was also called “righteous” (2 Pet 2:7-8)

This Sunday we will take a look at some of the men and the mistakes they made, but God continued to use them and work through them.  What determines if we are remembered by our mistakes or by our faithfulness to God?  This can be encouraging to us that even though we make mistakes, God desires to continue to work with us.  We don’t have to let our mistakes, our sin define us.  We are beloved by God and He can overcome our sins and mistakes.

See ya Sunday on Zoom!
