This week we will continue in our Dwelling in the Word series.  This week I invite you to spend your time in Psalm 51, specifically three verses…

Psalm 51:10-12          New International Version

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

11 Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

I invite you to dwell with this passage this week.

I came across this definition of Dwell… To as a permanent resident, or to inhabit for a time; to have a habitation for some time or permanence.

Avoid the temptation to explain this passage.  The invitation is to dwell with this passage and see what God has for you in this passage.

This is a much shorter passage this week.

You are invited to read this passage, pray this passage, sit quietly with this passage, sing this passage, and wait upon the Lord.

Who among us is good at memorizing scripture?

As we dwell with this scripture this week, can we work toward memorizing this scripture?

As you dwell with this scripture may it penetrate every part of you and carry it with you every day.

Let’s talk about it on Sunday.
