We are continuing our series on “Who are we?”

This Sunday we will look at being transformed by the Spirit.

The scriptures we will be looking at this Sunday will be…

Romans 12:1-212 I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Ephesians 4:21-24 For surely you have heard about him and were taught in him, as truth is in Jesus. 22 You were taught to put away your former way of life, your old self, corrupt and deluded by its lusts, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to clothe yourselves with the new self, created according to the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

Transformation is the work of the Spirit.  No matter how badly we want to transform, we can’t do it on our own.

But do we have a part in being transformed by the Spirit?  Do we just wait around for something to happen?

Are there things we can do to be prepared to be transformed by the Spirit?

Join us this Sunday as we talk about being transformed by the Spirit.
