The Bible is full of stories of people seeking contentment.  Scriptures on contentment are aplenty and there are examples of men and women who find contentment in a relationship with God.

Which ones come to mind?

The psalmists and Paul had a lot to say about being content or satisfied.

I invite you to spend some time with your Bible this week reading about being content or being satisfied.

But how do those stories of contentment apply today?

Our biblical heroes didn’t have social media, or magazines, or advertising telling us how unfulfilled we really are and what products or experiences we need to make us whole or fulfilled.

We were meant for contentment. Yes, each of our journeys and stories are different, but we are still beloved and made in the image of our creator God and there is no void that our God cannot fill.

Living with contentment is possible, but it’s not something you achieve, but rather a gift you receive.

 How do you receive it?

How do you identify happiness vs contentment?

Let’s talk about it on Sunday.
