This summer we are working on ‘sayings.’
Here’s one for fun: ‘You are barking up the wrong tree.’
Where does a saying like that originate? (Google it) 😊
What are ‘barking dogs’ and ‘various trees’ trying to communicate in this saying?
Does a saying like the one above have limits?
You may have heard this one: ‘God Wants to Make You Happy.’
The scripture lesson is Philippians 4:4 (Bolded)
Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Is one sentence enough?
Does one (Bible) verse say enough?
What happens to Rejoice in the Lord always when we add (?),
Let your gentleness be evident to all.
The Lord is near.
Do not be anxious about anything,
but in every situation, (be honest) 😊
by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.
And the peace of God,
which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
